A foreign experience expands one’s boundaries: it expands the student’s worldview, the view of themselves and their view of themselves in relation to others. There’s no better way to broaden one’s world perspective than by actually experiencing another culture
The primary focus of Expedition Bolivia is that students actively get to work in the country of their expedition. They get to do this by visiting (social) projects, getting to know one another, and talking to people and where possible roll up their sleeves and take practical action!
Cooperation

Proper guidance before, during and after the trip is the key to success. This means that the program will be prepared in coordination with the school and teachers. Besides the ‘World Perspectives’, the program ties in with the themes of the Fakawa model, which is important to the school (e.g., inequality and solidarity, or globalization and connections). A better link to world citizenship is unimaginable.

The chosen themes are also given a place in preparation by, for example, adding extra language and culture lessons to the curriculum. Besides that, the students shape the activities they want to perform in the country of expedition in advance, in coordination with the to be visited projects.
